With IV sedation you are breathing on your own (there is no tube in your throat). With a GA you are hooked up to a ventilator. You are still sedated with IV sedation but you can usually still follow commands etc. One of the drugs they administer during the procedure makes you forget everything. Its used over here in Australia for colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures. Bejewelme, they will definitely insert a catheter during the procedure. Do not worry, you will not pee yourself.
Thanks newmeat30. I have cancelled my TT due to concerns over complications effecting my career. I am going ahead with the min-facelift but will reschedule TT for December next year when I have close to 8 weeks off. I will keep up to date with all you December tummy tuckers.
