Good luck tomorrow!! Sorry you had to wait that extra time. It's already an emotional roller coaster w/out getting canceled like that at the last minute.

Well your time is almost here! I know the nerves can hit hard but you are going to be fine. You will be so happy with your results! Great job on the weight loss too. It is so hard to post those before pics so congrats on doing that!

    Good luck to you!!

Go easy on yourself. It is tough to feel crappy for so long when you just want to feel like your old self again. I think what throws people off is how so many feel so good after surgery. I remember reading how great people were feeling w/in a week or so. Then I had surgery and felt like I just walked through hell for months and months! It was so depressing to see such a difference in experiences. But that is how it goes. My experience is unique and so is yours. You just got to heal and it is going to take time. I know I'm a broken record but it's true. You have to give that body that has been through a lot time to heal. You will feel better again. And I hope the cold doesn't hit you too hard either. You look great too. Stop comparing your body parts to Texas!

Be~ I know it is tough to wait it out while you heal. I totally understand being ready to feel better. I think we all do. It is hard and really there is no way to understand before how you'll feel after. It's surgery though my friend and you have to give that body some time.

I had 4 drains for 23 days. Like others have said they are working and you don't want them out if they are putting out all that fluid. Better out than in. Soon they will be a distant memory.

I get the "contractions" like you are talking about. I've had them since the start. I still get them at 7 months PO. They really increased when I started to do more. I get them when I stand up a lot of the time but they don't bother me so much anymore. They are normal. Some of us get them and some of us don't. I had a 6 in muscle repair and I think that is why I get them so much as it was a lot of repair.

The tightness is most likely the muscle repair too. It is super tight after surgery and can be hard to adjust to. Is it pain or just really the tight feeling? The swelling will make that tightness seem worse at your stage of surgery. That tightness does ease and becomes second nature. It takes time. I remember when I would try and lay on my side it would feel like it was pulling so much on my hip that I couldn't stand the feeling. I had to have a binder on to kind of hold that area in tight so the feeling would be better. Now I can easily sleep on my side w/ none of that feeling.

Wish I could talk you and everyone in to staying off the scale! It isn't helping your moods and it isn't going to change too much til you can stop putting out so much fluid. And whether or not it changes drastically the surgery you just had will make you look radically different much more than 10 or even 20 pounds would do! You aren't a number on a scale. You are a beautiful woman who has come a long way! Embrace how far you've come. Give that body some TLC my friend. It has been through a lot.

And take a nap already when you need it! Nothing wrong with that. Hang in there. Healing takes time. I'm going to keep repeating that for you but it is true.
