Mine took almost three weeks to drop, longer to soften. And then when they did, I was sad to lose that extra volume I had grown used to! LOL
And not to bum you out, but don't get your hopes up too much over losing the drains this week. He made me keep mine almost two weeks. They were my biggest pain! It was so liberating to get them out.
Rest up, girl! It's hard to be home bound, but your body needs that rest!
Definitely. Call me sometime next week when you are bored and are tired of resting!
I'm doing ok, but have had a craptastic day. Don't laugh, it will hurt. But somehow I managed to lock myself in our walk-in closet this morning. I have no idea why there is a keyed lock on the door, but there is. And it locked. With me inside. I had shut the door as I was putting laundry away...
Thank god there is also a window in the closet. (now I know why...). So I was able to take the screen out and jump out of the window and let myself back in with the garage code. Ugh. But that sucked. It was about a 10 foot jump, so I'm sure I will have a good bruise on my hip from the tuck and roll.
I was in to see Dr. T on Tuesday. I had to postpone last week since my mother in law was here. He said I'm looking good, but I am definitely an over achiever when it comes to scarring. My incision is thicker than he'd like, and my breast pockets have healed and tightened up more than he'd like. Not to the point of major concern, but he put me on vit E capsules and Singulair, which is supposed to have some benefits to reduce further scar formation. I'll take them for 90 days, and see him again.
They took pics for my file, and I got to see the before pics. Wow. Scars or not, I'm so glad I did this! I don't miss that belly at all!

(and I totally agree about the anesthesiologist! Whew! He is fine!)
Stay on top of those meds and rest as much as possible!
