I'm almost 6 weeks post op. Does anybody else have very hard lumps at or ABOVE the incision line?? i'm afraid i have fat necrosis or something... from the front, my tummy looks nice and flat, but from the side, I have a 'ledge of swelling/bumps above the incision, and then the incision line is dented in, and then I am puffy/swollen like a ken doll below the incision...... will this get any better, and how soon? i know i need to be patient, but i don't want to have a ken doll crotch forever!!! LOl...... and i don't want to be swollen/firm above the incision forever.. :(
i agree!! i sort of have a little bit of a bubble/flat area on the bottom of my butt cheek, making it look a little square :(,,,, i wished i would've known about the garments to keep my butt rounder..... sigh......... maybe if we can do some squats and lunges and exercises to help firm things up, it may round it out? i dunno
thanks, hope!!!!! I guess it's hard for me to see the progress, since i look at myself every day, but i'm hoping i can be patient with this swelling.. I had my abdomen drained today for 70 ccs. The nurse there told me she had a tummy tuck last year and it took nearly 6-9 months for all the swelling to subside... She told me I just have to be patient!!!! I try, but it's hard for me... hopefully by summer i'll be wearing a bikini and finally marking this surgery as 'Worth it' :)
Thanks, girl! No working out for sure! I am stil pretty sore... I don't know what size I am in clothes.. I still pretty much just wear my yoga pants and tee shirts.. I'm gonna wait till the 3 month mark (when most of the swelling goes down and the true results can be seen) before I buy new clothes and figure my size. Pre-op tho I wore usually a woman's L or XL top, and size 6 pants (women's, not junior's).... i was a 36, 30, 36.. now i think im' a 36, 28, 38 or something.... and btw, i like how your butt looks!! mine shrunk.. :*(
i know about the fluid! it sucks... I was drained 3 times for seromas on my lower abdomen AND back.... they keep filing back up!!! I hope it stops, too....I don't like this added complication.......... btw, are you able to stand up fully straight yet??? i'm 24 days post op and STill can't....... makes me a little concerned... :(
