Went to dr yesterday. Very little swelling (14 days post surgery). Go back in 4 weeks. I like the idea of massaging the lipo areas and the little lumps that pop up. Incision is healing very well, started putting cocoa butter w/ vit e on it. Live the results so far. Glad to read others are doing well also. Dispels some of the horror stories I had heard. Thank you all.
13 days post-surgery and I weigh 7lbs less than I did the day before surgery. This has truly been an experience. Not all bad after the first couple of days. My belly button looks weird right now and the incision is longer across my lower ab than I thought it would be, but is very narrow. Go back to dr's today for 2nd post-op visit. I have noticed a couple of tight knots every now and then but they go away. About how long does it take to get feeling back into your ab. I still feel numb but my Dr. said the nerves had to form new attachments.
I had my surgery on March 24, went back to work on the following Monday. This week has been rough, would rather have stayed in bed but wasn't able to do that. Went to Dr's on Wed for post-surgery follow-up, had drain removed and sutures removed. I haven't had much swelling or bruising, feel very fortunate (knock on wood). I have worn my binder all the time with the exception of taking a shower. I am still wearing baggy pants with elastic waists (was wearing a 6P) before my surgery. I tried to put on a pair of jeans the other day and couldn't get the zipper closed so I decided to give up on that and put the baggy pants back on. My hardest thing at this point is getting off the bed once I get in it and I really miss sleeping on my side.
I walk a little bit each day and have to go up and down steps to get to my bedroom. I am basically doing a lot better than I expected and am very pleased with the flatness of my abdomen. When I look at myself in the mirror I am amazed it is me, I keep thinking if I don't wear this binder all the fat and skin will just pop back out which is ridiculous.
I hope you can get some rest this weekend and will feel better soon.
I could not imagine driving myself home from my TT. It was hard enough to just get out of bed to go pee. My Dr. required someone provide transportation.
