I am now 8 weeks out from surgery i had the lower body lift and bilateral thigh lifts with lipo wanted to have the tummy tuck but it was too extensive i was in the or 7 hours. 15 pounds of excess skin and fat were taken off. Recovery is hard and i have some questions if anyone has the answers. Since surgery the bones in my butt (pelvic bone) hurts when i sit on it. Did this happen to anyone else or can the dr answer. Also i have a lot of numbness and have been told this will go away. How long will this last? its annoying. Is it true that i will still have swelling after a year. The dr says he took 15 # off but the scale doesn't reflect this and i know its from swelling but its discouraging to see this. I am in a whole size smaller and look good and am happy with the results. Recovery has been slow. Also some of my incisions have opened and are the size of pin holes to a little bigger. When can i be sure they are really healed? I have a lot of questions and some will have to be answered by the docs. For the first 6 weeks i was on antibiotics 3 times. From day 1 i got some kind of blister or something on the incision on my back that got infected which is ok now. Then when they took out some of my stitches on my leg it opened a lot. I had to pack it yuk but its healed now but also got infected. i need to post some px and will soon. everyone is doing so well!

I am 6 weeks po from thigh lift with lipo and lower body lift. I'll have to post px I'm getting post op px done at easter when my dtg comes home. Its been rough but I'm still glad i went thru it. The dr said he took off 15# but it really hasn't shown on the scales. I noticed about a 4# drop but I know the wt will decrease when the swelling goes down. My left leg looks like an overstuffed sausage. He not sure what causing it but i have no symptoms of something more serious so i just keep it elevated which is next to impossible as i'm a nurse and work 12 hour shifts in a critical care unit. I went back to work last week and didn't feel ready but he said i was. Everyone at work is wonderful so supportive and helpful so that is good. Made going back to work easier. I had an open area or blister on my back and that healed up with an antibiotic i think it was starting an infection. I also have an area on my leg that opened up after stitches were removed. Its been draining heavily and i had to pack it. He started me on antibiotics again "just in case" it seems to not be draining as much now.The weather has been warm which has added to my discomfort as i'm wearing the postop garment (below knee to waist) ted hose and ace wrap I only had stitches to be removed on my thighs because the skin was thin (I think) the rest were dissolvable. I have a lot of numbness. does anyone know how long this will last. The dr office says massaging it will help. Can't go around massaging my butt people will think I'm weird lol I am getting a massage soon. well i'll post more later
