I had my tt in the nuffield in england , and my drains came out on day 2, not sure the of the reason why some doctors , leave them in for weeks and some take them out , but my drainage was measured every 4 hours on the first night and next morning , by the evening , nothing at all was draning , and i was told it really hurt when they are removed , but i can honestly say i never felt a thing, x

I must say that i agree with you , on the weight and diet issue, un like the lady who thinks she is right about all dietry issues. Not everyone is the same , and my surgeon insisted before my surgery that i was not on any sort of diet , and that i was healthy, which would and did help my recovery, i have never been told to stop carbs , or wheat , after surgery , i ate good protein meals, i think it would help on this site if people just shared their experiences , and not insist that there way is the right way , it is not very constructive, or even helpful. Listen to your body!

yes you should wear your compression garment for six weeks day and night , it do really help and it sounds strange but you do actually miss it after.
