It has been almost 2 years since my laser procedure and I am happy to report my legs are back to normal. It took about 6 months for the pigment to return. I did stay out of the sun the entire summer and then slowly exposed my sunblock protected skin to sunlight. I am so relieved it was not permanent. I will not be getting laser on any sun exposed area again. It is just not worth the risk.

Thanks for posting a pic. It really helps to see what people are talking about. Keep us posted on your progress. How does everything look a week later?

Thanks for the update on your legs. I am so happy for you that it got better. It is reassuring to know that hypopigmentation may not be permanent.

I also have olive skin. I have had one session. I have a little hyperpigmentation that flaked off, but still had melasma. The difference is very minor is any difference at all.
