Hi Jen since we had our procedures around the same time I was just curious to know if you have any pain when you laugh, sneeze or cough? i was doing fine till i got to around 3.5 months now it burns to laugh
Hi Jen, you look great, we had ours about the same time, and my swelling has actually gotten worse then before. I look down and I see a puff above the incision, I hope I get flat again. Are you still wearing any kind of compression?
Well I'm 13 weeks today and I still have the numbness, my ps said it could take up to a year! It does feel that the area is getting smaller than what it originally was, but It's still there, and i still have swelling off and on.
I have tried a few different products and I can't tell you if anything is working any differently then if I didn't use anything at all, but I would wait until at least 4 weeks before you start putting anything on your scar, because if it is to fresh it may sting and probably not good. I do think the massaging works, because I had a ridge and it feels a lot flatter and smoother now, but as far as the creams to use, I guess you can try them all and see what you like. I didn't like the Mederma, it was sticky and had a funny smell, I like the bio oil, it feels good and has a pleasant smell. I have also used the scar guard and the scar guard strips, and I wonder if they are doing anything besides taking my money. My ps told me to massage the Obagi cream three times a day and use the scar guard at night, when he saw me at 8 weeks told me to keep doing it but now use cortisone cream to take away the redness and itchiness (even though I wasn't itchy)
