  It's hard to say without a photo. The laser handpiece is a rectangular shape which can pull up pigmentation in a grid-like pattern. Potentially, if there wasn't a proper overlap, you can have missed areas which appear like a grid. I would suggest letting it heal for at least two weeks and have your technician re-evaluate if subsequent treament is needed.
