Like with any laser treatment, there are risks and your outcome was one of them unfortunately. I always suggest doing your due diligence prior to any procedure as if something does sound too good to be true, it probably is. There are numerous machines in the market for IPL and some are just not as good as others. Some Technicians are better trained than others and have more day to day experience, and the same goes for Physicians. Groupon and Living Social are NOT places to buy these types of procedures... my take on this is a simple one... if these offices were so good at these procedures and were doing them regularly, why would they be offering such a discounted dollar amount? The offices that I am aware of that are the best for these treatments are not doing "deals" because they do not have to and their work speaks for themself. Be careful when you are trusting your face to anyone.

The FDA considers laser hair removal to be a permanent reduction of hair of about 85-90%.... not permanent hair removal. Any office that tells you all of your hair will indeed be removed, is not telling you the truth. Touch up treatments down the road will be necessary. Also- numerous other factors can play a role as well.... like hormones (pregnancy, menopause, hormonal imbalances, etc). The more honest an office is about your expectations, the more trustworthy they are in my opinion.

She did it under her doctors supervision that she works for. I think the real fact is, that this peel isn't for everyone.

Yes, it was done on my face. I have some very fine wrinkles and am concerned about age spots (I get peels regularly but basic Glycolic ones). I'd rather have a series of glycolic ones and work my way up to higher strengths than go through what I am right now. My face looks awful, worse than it has in years. Guess the old saying that if it's not broken, don't fix it rings very true here. Obagi products are known to be harsh according to my friend who gave me the treatment, but she said "I should return to normal eventually"... well that's not good enough.
