Just thought I would update my results. I am now one year and 3 months post op upper/lower bleph. You cannot see the lower scars whatsoever. The upper scars are very thin and white and only visible if i raise my eyebrows super high. I still have a slight assymetry but it is so small that only I notice it. My doctor was very conservative and I do not have a "surprised" look. I do think that my eye shape is somewhat different - but nothing drastic. For those of you at the beginning of your healing please be patient. It will take a full year for you to see the results and make a judgement on the outcome. You will see so many changes along the way! Please do not consider revisions until after a year.
I agree. It took a full year for me to be satisfied with the result. I am still considering asking for a partial refund or credit for the "bulge". I will have it forever. I thought about having it shot up with a steroid but those have risks as well. Perhaps better to leave well enough alone. However my doctor pushed the under eye surgery - I only wanted the top done. So I believe he owes me some sort of compensation for leaving a bag there, don't you?
My eyes are MUCH better. No more issues with assymetry and no aching or dry eye. One thing though is that I still have a little baggage under right eye. The "bulge" as I called it is still there, however not quite as big as it was. I see it in the morning especially and then it gets a little smaller by afternoon. I was hoping this would resolve after a year but it is residual fat not removed. I think I can live with it as I NEVER want another surgery! I am glad I had the surgery as my eyes look better - however they are by no means perfect which was what I expected.
I had dry, irritated eyes for over 3 months. Try drops, avoid heat/AC, limit reading/tv/computer use and stay out of the wind. No contact lenses or eye makeup that you have to rub eyes to remove. Use gel drops at night or tape eye closed. Near the 4th month my eyes were fine.
