Kimbra,
It was not a traditional laser center, rather, a skin care salon. The owner's name is Nina, she may have been Russian, the salon may have been called Nina's. Where I was staying was on 35th near Park, and the location was right in the area. While in the city, I was scouting for a specific laser, called Cynosure, and she happened to be the first place I found. Nina seemed to really know what she was taking about and we really bonded over the skin care and how dynamic the Cynosure laser is. I also am a laser technician. Hope this helps!
Did you know that your skin is reacting, chemically, with the chemical peel as it is to the sunburn? It is true! Yes, TCA is great for sun damage and for superficial lines as well. Pumpkin is also great for sun damaged skin. It will really brighten up all skins, even up to the darkest and ok for Asian skin.
For your skin, Beta Hydroxy Acid peels would be more efficacious than Alpha Hydroxy Acids. Salicylic or Pumpkin would be the first place, if I was treating your skin, that I would go.
There is a lady in Midtown, Murray Hill, named Nina, who has an amazing LASER device. Found her while visiting and found her quite charming and very serious about LASERs and LASER protocol.
