pocahontas12 is right. Not only will you have swelling when you do too much, but you also increase the risk of post-op bleeding. That can be very dangerous or even fatal. You've had major surgery.

In the end, you will look better than you looked on day 2. Trust me! I dealt with swelling for about a year. I am 2 years post-op and things are great. Just hang in there.

I just looked at your pictures, I didn't swell quite that much at 8 weeks PO. My friend that I told you about is swelling like that though. In fact she is going to the doctor today to have some fluid drawn off of her belly.
Are you resting and drinking a lot of water? That helped me tremendously!
I am now 4 months out and my swelling is getting better everyday. My tummy is pretty flat and my sides (hips) are going down in size. My little aches and pains are going away as well. There's light at the end of the tunnel....

Oh girl!! I went through the EXACT same thing...word for word! I was told I could return to work after a week or 10 days...uhhh NO! I went ahead and took 6 weeks just because I had the time saved up and I could! I am so glad I did!! It took me 5+ weeks alone just to stand up straight. He did so much muscle repair on me that there's no way I could stand up straight even when I tried. A friend of mine had her TT done 3+ weeks ago and didn't have near the muscle damage I had and she stood up straight in 10 days. It's so different for everyone of us b/c we have different situations. I am 3 months out and still swelling up and down off and on. It took me about 5-6 weeks to fit into my jeans. My sides are more swollen than anything else. I am still sore right down the middle from the muscle repair. Don't get frustrated! It's going to be a long recovery but well worth it in the end!

I have a sore feeling down the middle of my abdomen. He had to do a lot of muscle repair due to my 3 large babies and I was told that I would be sore for a while because of the degree of muscle repair. Otherwise, I feel great. I am very happy with the results and would do it again in a heartbeat!
I have ditched my baggie clothes once and for all!!
I am back in the gym and all is well!!
