I started it in 2008 and touch it up every year or so. It lastsyears. I originally had 3 vials over the course of a year. It takes several months to see the full results. It is best to wait several months to see EXACTLY what the results will look like to avoid too much collagen growth. I am not sure why doctors risk injecting every month as it is impossible to know what the outcome is. Everyone 's reaction to it is different. It will slowly go down but it can take up to 5 years. That has been my experience.
I have had 4 vials over the course of a year..every 3 months. I had no results at all after the 1st treatment...It was very gradual and my derm waited for full results 3 months later before continuing. I recommend it by only by someone who has has done many treatments. My Dr has done over 1000 and he has some patients from 5 years ago that still have their results.....so go REAL slow as it can be semi-permanent
I had 3 vials ,every 3 months...At 1st I saw no results and was disappointed. But after the 2nd I definitely looked better and I am really pleased after the 3rd. It filled out my face (it is subtle)and I look much better. Going for a final touch-up next week. My dr in NYC actually waits for the results in 3 months before continuing- to prevent errors and overfilling. It takes months to see results. Never had a bump and I wasnt perfect w/ massaging either. Research carefully and get an expert
The lumps, according to my dr.come from not dissolving the solution correctly and not injecting deep enough... After over 1000 patients without lumps, I trust he will inject the correct distance from my eyes to achieve the desired result. I will report back however after 4/17 with more details
