I think my forehead looks improved, just not as improved as I have seen in the past, which bothers me because I spent more money this time to have lesser results.
My naso folds and chin indent are exactly the same as when I stepped into that office (i.e., NO improvement whatsoever) - except that I have a visible, white, raised line following alongside one of the folds. The one in the chin went away - the product came out (my skin peeled there).
It seems from other posts on this board that I should have seen immediate results from the Restylane, but it was a complete waste of time and money. It also seems that I should not have been injected in the folds if my lines are fine rather than medium - the doctor should have told me this BEFORE he took my money. He never said anything about wrinkles not being deep enough for fillers to work. I think the reason I see older women with no lines is because their wrinkles may have been deeper when they were injected.
The bottom line is, this doctor should have stood behind his work (it could have been that he diluted it wrong or placed it incorrectly or just didn't use enough) - he should have either tried again or given me money back.
I have just seen another doctor for a second opinion. Regarding my Dysport treatment, he said that he has heard of cases where the second round of injections are less effective than the first, but he was speaking of Botox - he doesn't use Dysport. They don't tell you this in the consultations, do they?
For the Restylane, he said that it seems like not enough product was injected because he can barely feel it in my skin, but he said that I should give it two months to see the full effect. But he also said that he stopped using Restalyne and switched to Juviderm.
I don't know what to believe anymore, I feel like I never get the whole story until after they've taken my money - and I'm highly suspicious that their nurses have NO lines at all on their faces yet I spend thousands and still have lines. I will be seeing one more doctor for a third opinion.
