The online source does not call it Aquamid. But the ingredients are the same for Equal To Beautiful See Fine Gel Filler 1 ml. I posted the website before but this Realself.com blacked out the name of the site hopeing no one else would be as foolish as me. I like the site online for other things. But not for selling the similar product with the same ingredients as Aquamid.
I buy Basics BT from them. Basics BT is this on-line's version of Botox. I know it is not wise to try to do things yourself. It is just so tempting because of how much money you save. I have had good results with their version of Botox.
What I totally disagree with is that they should have had put more emphasis that their version of Aquamid was a very very permanent filler and emphasized the complications some people can have with the product.
I am still trying to get rid of the Aquamid from my face. If you have known a doctor that knew how to get rid of it for you, I wish you would share the name of your doctor. My doctor I went to was a great doctor, but he did not know much about Aquamid. His approach was to stick large needles to open the lip and try to push this out. Very painful, not very good results. Also, I even look worse the days following trying to live a normal life. My vanity turned on me in this situation.
Does your doctor live in the US? Very few doctors I have met in the Mid West know anything about removing Aquamid. They may know you need to aspire it, but they have never done it before.
I have a good doctor in the US that is willing to try to work on it, but he claims he has no experience.
I also know a good doctor named Dr. Fuentes, that has worked on removal of Aquamid, but he lives far from where I am located.
If you or anyone else want to tell me more about your experience or the doctor you used, I am interested. I made a special email address just to hear from you if you did not want to post it, but they erased it from the post. If you can just tell me what part of the country your doctor works, if in this country, I would be interested.
I want to say again that is was so nice to hear someone else had this problem and how they dealt with the removal of the product.
Please email me at *******.****@*****.com, if you do not feel comfortable letting me know who your doctor is on this site so my doctor may discuss treatments possiblily through consulting your doctor's experience in removing Aquamid. You have been so helpful. Just to hear about someone else that has had problems with it and to know that after 8 years it is coming to an end. It has been such a learning experience for me.
I have talked to Dr. Quiroz, and even went to Dr. Fuentes, (a partner to Dr. Quiroz.) to have him help me take out the Aquamid as he was someone that was familar with taking it out. He used a lipo needle and a syringe to try to suck it out. (I like the idea about using the vacuum mentioned in another post.) He was only able to get a tiny bit out for the 30 minute appointment. His cost for that appointment was similar to a PS doctor in the US. The other services they offer there seem to be less expensive like botox, etc. I do not live in CA so it is not easy to continually return for numerous efforts to get little out. I did like Dr. Fuentes, he was good to answer emails, and came across as very knowledgable and professional. The experience was depressing only because I was hoping for better results.
