I too am looking for help with retained areola...mine too goes all the way down my vertical scar. I have cried every day since my surgery 3 years ago. I was engaged at the time and it completely destroyed my relationship because I was so insecure bc of the results. Other problems are, areola too high (can't find a bra to cover them), "boxy" shape and my horizontal incision is 2" up my breasts...not in the crease! I desperately need to get them fixed, but money is tight as I'm still paying for the first surgery. Have you had any luck? Please advise...thanks!
I'm so sorry to read your story. I am going through the exact same thing! I had a full anchor lift (although only needed a donut lift...I was very small, but dr. could charge more for anchor) and implants 3 years ago. I have cried every day since the surgery, tried to file a lawsuit, but I didn't have much luck bc it was an "elective" surgery. I need to get them fixed for my own mental well being, but I'm still paying for the first one and I don't want that butcher any where near my body again!!! Not to mention the are very "boxy" in shape, my nipples are so high that I cannot find a bra to cover them and he left part of my areola going all the way down my vertical scar...oh yeah, and my horizontal scar is 2" up my breasts! Have you had any luck?
I'm looking for the same information (I think). I had a full anchor lift (although it should have only been a donut lift or something, bc I was small with little sagging..guess doctor could get more money though), and have residual areola pigmentation running vertically down my breast. Not to mention my horzonyal scar is 2 inches above my crease!! Also, my breasts are "squarish", but am horrified to have another surgery (not to mention I'm still paying off the first one)! So I'm looking into scar revision, but not sure ow they remove the pigmentation without taking out more skin!! Please let me know if you have found a procedure. Best of luck!
