I took one more day off of work but am taking it easy now, though back at my desk. I feel a bit battered and bruised when not on pain meds----the meds work well but i also dont want to be particularly spacey either. Its a choice.
there is a little more bruising and swelling now that I am a few days out---but I still like the results a lot.
no worries at all...its 1:30 am and I am wide awake---I guess that is what happens when you sleep most of the day. In some pain but truly not much. The numbness is going away and I am starting to feel normal again. About 20 minutes ago, I decided to unmask the site because the bloody foam was bothering me---I jhave the compression belt, which is a while velcro belt---that is it---and under they put one of those blue sheet/pads...seems overly simple to me. But I replaced the blus sheets with a new one and feel cleaner.
I still have a fair amount of drainage, and have to remind myself to watch and not bleed on the carpet or something when I go to the bathroom or bend down. Its easier to remain upright and straight, so I dont disrupt the incision sites.
I've been taking Arnica and Bromelain and have some Arnica cream I put on too---not sure if that is working but so far I'm not very bruised. But its early...
Okay, I am late forties (very late) and 5'2 and about 125. Im not overweight but since menopause I have gained about 2 inches on my waist with precious little change in diet and exercise. Flabby, moveable, jelly belly stuff. It was just driving me crazy. SO one way or another, this will cure my curiosities....
ask me anything...I had a general because that is what Dr. Eppley prefers. That is just fine with me...I think I would not like the feeling of this---the pushing pulling and the noises, even if I couldnt feel it. My answers are kind of short because I start falling asleep while typing :)
today. Its now later afternoon and I am not early as woozy. just took my pain meds because I noticed tghe numbness is beginning to wear off. I want to stay ahead of that pain.
I was in at 8ish and out by 11:30 after about an hour and a half of recovery. Came home and was lucid but sleepy and went to bed and have napped on and off. I'm making my kids dinner now (mac and cheese--so its hardly taxing) then I will probably watch a chick flik :)
I am draining a lot from on incision site---but then I'm not sure because its the only one I can see. The wrap is blooy. Hope I can get that out!
