Wow, your surgery date was set really fast. That's great, you don't have to think about it for months like I did. I'm so glad you are this excited about the BR, because, it is such a life changer. I feel so much younger. The back pain made me feel so old, and the heavy breasts made me NOT want to be active, because, well, it hurt having those suckers bounce around all the time!!! I have four boys, 14,12,5 and 4. I thought I was a busy mom. I can't imagine throwing twins into that mix. Those kiddos of yours are going to keep you young!! So, it's a good thing the new you will feel 100% better after getting rid of that baggage. Lol. I went from a DDD to a C, and i have so much more energy, and most importantly, no more pain bringing me down. You are giving yourself the ultimate Christmas present. I am so very happy for you. Good luck, follow the dr's orders, get your rest, and get ready to meet the new, and improved, you. :)
Wow... I know I was very emotional about a week after my surgery. That is more from the anesthesia than anything else. I got really shaky in my first shower too. It was all I could do to finish it and lay back down. That is completely normal. The body is doing SO much overtime work trying to heal that it tires VERY easily. Just because you are not being active, does not mean your body isn't working overtime. It's trying to figure out what in the world just happened to it. That's why rest is so important afterwards, you don't want to give your body more work than it can keep up with. It's ok to be cranky, that's a side effect of the anesthesia and probably you are wanting to be able to get back to your normal routine of taking care of the baby, the house, etc. It made me mad when I wanted to be more active but I was just to darn tired to do it. Just be patient and let yourself have plenty of time to heal. I remember being so sick of not washing my hair that i went to my salon and let them wash it for me. I felt sooooo good after that, so clean!!! I had my BR on March 28. I was swollen for months afterwards. Don't worry about feeling big right now. I actually had to buy a bigger sports bra than I was before surgery to wear afterwards. Of course I wore my ACE bandage for about 3 weeks before I tried a sports bra. I went to Walmart and bought a cheap one. As each month passed by, my boobs kept getting smaller. It was because the swelling was going down. I just now bought my first PRETTY bras since surgery. I got cheap, comfortable ones, but it was about 7 months after when I bought the first cute ones. I still don't wear an underwire yet. My point is, even if they seem big right now, they will change for months. I went from a 36DDD and I bought 36C bras. Love it....but, when I bought my first after surgery bra, I had to get a 40DD and it was snug.. I'm so proud of you. You are doing great. Let me know if you have any questions....
Feel free to ask me whatever you like. There is nothing wrong with worrying. Heck, who wouldn't worry about any kind of surgery. But this site states that BR has a 92% worth it rating. That's a lot of women loving this surgery. My GYN told me this is the surgery that women are the most happy with. it is a major surgery, but honestly, it sounds a whole lot worse than it is. Yes, you do have some pain afterwards, but it is not that bad. After all, would the worth it rating be so high on here if it was really that painful? Having a baby was 10 times harder than this to me and I've had 4 C-sections. This surgery is a cake walk.

Once again, ask me anything, I would love to answer any questions you have. Good luck to you!! :)
OMG.... I had super duper sensitivity in my nipples, and it lasted quite a while. I had to wear gauze between them and my shirts and eventually bras to help relieve the sensitivity. It is very normal to be hypersensitive. I would say it took about 2 months to get better. My nurse said it was the nerve endings joining back together. Tylenol and pain meds did not help me either. The gauze helped me. It will get better. I just told my husband not to even look at my nipples or they would hurt. Lol. Now that I think about it, the sensitivity was even more annoying than the drain tubes, incisions, and the pain. Good luck and happy healing.

What other surgery has a 92% worth it rating?? That is a lot of ladies satisfied with this surgery. Pain is different for everybody. It wasn't bad for me, it was more of a soreness. I once had a staph infection that was much more painful than my BR. If it was a totally awful kind of pain, I doubt the worth it rating would be so high here. I would do it one hundred times over again to get me to the place I am now. I am happy.. My nipples are so cute now. My surgeon did make them smaller to match my new breasts. If I really concentrate on how even they are, of course, I can see a difference between them, but no one else knows they are not exactly proportionate to one another. Even God doesn't make us perfectly symmetrical so we should not expect a surgeon to. Is there pain, yes. Is it bad enough to consider NOT doing the surgery, a big fat NO. Are my nipples even, close enough for me. Are they in the right location, of course, I don't think any surgeon, especially a man, wouldn't know where a woman's nipples are suppose to be. Lol. Go for it.... You will be soooooo glad you did..... :)
