I am doing good. Haven't been here in a while. Have had alot going on with work & home. Still have swelling at the end of the day, but not like it was. I am only 10 weeks out so I know the swelling will continue for a while. How are you doing?
I had dissovable stitches, however there was one stitch that did not want to dissolve & did not want to come out. The area got very sore, red & ended up getting infected. My PS had to cut the incision open, remove the stitch & pack the area with sterile gauze. It ened up being staph, so after a round of antibiotics & the stitch being removed the wound is finally almost closed.
I am going to have a scar revision done sometime down the line b/c now it is bigger than before.
Other than that I have had no other problems. I wish it would've come out, I would've had no problem pulling it out myself!
Kimmers, glad you started this thread. I am barely 5'1" and you are right, we can't hide any extra weight. After years of my weight going up & down I had gastric bypass.
For over a year my weight has been the same so I decided to have my TT. I am 5 wks post-op and feeling good. Just hate the swelling!!!!
The only problem I had was a stitch abcess that got infected & I developed staph. PS had to cut the incision open and clean it out so that it could heal. It's been one week since that and it is healing really well. Thanks to this procedure & antibiotics.
I am so happy I made the decision to have a TT. And glad that I found this site before.
I am still swollen too and I was 1 month Post-Op on Tuesday. Take a look @ my review & see my pics....I am not flat either. the most recent pics I have are from 2 weeks Post-Op. Will be posting more recent pics this evening or tomorrow.
I also had problems with a stitch that did not want to dissolve, but did not want to come up to the surface of my skin so I developed an abscess. PS had to numb the area, reopen part of the incision and remove the stitch. He did a culture & it was positive for staph. I have been on antibiotics since Tuesday & the area is starting to heal, but the incision is open & I have sterile packing strips in it that I now have to change daily until it closes.
It started as a painful lump. My PS suggested a warm compress to try to draw out the stitch so that it could be removed, but that didn't work. When I went last week it was finally where they could get it. Unfortunately there was still a piece that they couldn't get & did not know it was there til I went today.
