Yes I did use Dr. Mentz. He is a great doctor/artist. I still highly recommend him. It's been 9 months since my surgery and I am still super happy with the results. Nothing has changed since I posted my last pics or I would have posted more. I did put on about 5-10 pounds but that's all my fault and it has all gone to my butt and legs. lol Never gained weight before so I'm not minding it too much. :) I'm hoping to do the tummy tuck in the next few years and i'll definitely be going back to him for that surgery. He's very trustworthy.
Thank you and congrats to you on your inches lost! Isn't it the best feeling ever?! To me it was kinda funny how I looked as if I lost 20 pounds but it was just the fat being moved to a different part of my body. It's amazing how it can make such a huge difference. I hated being square shape, I felt like a tomboy even though i'm not. I feel like a lady now with these curves. :) I would have to say it took me 4-6 weeks to feel totally normal again but there's still some swelling that I have to get rid of. I notice it the most when I stand alot during the day. My surgical nurse had the procedure done 3 months before I did and she said it took her 8 weeks for all the swelling to go away, doc said 3 months but everyone's different of course. Well good luck to you and keep me posted on your progress.
I'm 7 weeks 2 days out and still swollen and a little numb. I have now lost 10 lbs and I did lose a little more on the back side but it's still the same shape just a smaller version. My waist is even smaller now too, still lovin it! :)
I didn't have stomach lipo either because my doc said my skin would sag because it's damaged from pregnancies. I knew I would eventually need a tummy tuck...some day. My lipo was in the love handles, back, and axilla(bra strap fat under armpits). My back itches like crazy but they said the itching was the nerves regenerating which makes sense because with the itching I slowly gain back a little feeling but along my spine is still numb to touch. Its weird but doesn't bother me even if it stays that way. I have always had a stomach and at first I noticed alot of swelling there but it went away by around 4-5 weeks from what I can tell. My lower stomach is where I bruised the worse after surgery because they said all the blood flows through there. It was dark purple and black after surgery. I am having my husband massage my back and when I went to my check-up they said to go to my local massage place and ask for a sweddish massage and that would help alot with the swelling. Doc said to go often if I could but I can't afford alot of those. I have a butt to pay off. HA! Im not massaging my legs because I didn't have lipo there.
Yes, I still have some swelling now and i'll be 6 weeks post-op in 3 days. I just went to my 6 week post surgery check-up and they said I was healing well but that it would take up to 3 months to get rid of the last 25% or so of the swelling. And that I had a little hard spots of scar tissue build up and that needed massage but you can't see it only feel it. I'm still so happy with my results though. I did gain 5 pounds during the first month since I sat around alot and didn't do much but I worked it off now so that's good. Still dealing with numbness too which is getting better slowly and still have alot of itching but they said that was normal too. Good luck to you and keep me updated on how it goes for you.
