This treatment was done in Oct, 08. I still have faint marks on my face which I think will never go away. It is in W.L.A. and is a MD office, but the technician who I suspect is not a nurse did it without the doctor's supervision. I just trusted her since she said she has done it so many times and all her clients love it and are so happy. I thought she knew what she was doing. How stupid of me!!
I will live with this forever.
The pictures are before the scars fell off. They have left a faint darker shade than my own skin spot on my face. It is disappointing because they even show a little bit from under a tons of make-up. This is something I have to live with forever. This procedure is highly risky and not worth its possible side effects./
It would definitely make it safer, but due to my terrible experience with that procedure, I would just stay away from it. These are all new technology and procedures that have been invented recently and no one has seen or experienced their longterm side effects yet because they have not been around long enough. I for one see discoloration on my skin on the parts that were not burned with the machine and I feel that is a side effect of IPL, because in general your skin because ultra sensetive to sun exposure and so on. So I wouldn't go for IPL unless I have a problem that does n't have any other solution.
I had the same procedure done(IPL)three weeks ago.My face looked exactly like the lady in the pictures. burned marks in the shape of big dots on my chin, forhead, neck and sideburns. the burned spots fell off and now I have dark spots all over my face and I am crying everyday. I went back to the doctor and he says I am sorry this happened I promise the spots will go away over time and that I have to be patient and wait. He gave me some bleaching cream and I am using it for the 3 days and so far no change. Please tell me how are the dark spots on your face? are the completely gone? I can email you my pictures. please answer me I am desperate.
