Thanks, kristi29. I hope your recovery goes as smoothly as mine did and you are satisfied with the results. Each patient is different, of course, and the outcome is naturally a bit of a gamble. My advice is to do everything possible to improve your odds: be sure you understand the various procedures, choose an experienced surgeon, stop smoking, exercise, follow your pre- and post-op instructions to the letter, etc. Hang in there, girl!

The tapes prevent the ends of the sutures from getting snagged or pulled out until the stitches were removed 5 days later.
