Not sure why my previous comment did not go through. anyways...I actually did do a few TCA peels (starting with about 10% and gradually working my way up to 50%), but this was about 2 years ago. As with lactic acid peels, there was no peeling for me and only a stinging and itching sensation. Perhaps I messed up my math and calculated the dilutions wrong?? Well, I hope this works for you!! Keep me posted on your progress, as I am trying to find a quick solution myself
I did lactic acid peel 50%. I started off at leaving it on for 5 mins and gradually increasing to 10 mins after each use. I also did double layers for 10 mins. It didn't peel, it felt really itchy. My skin felt nice and tight afterwards. It seems more effective for tightening the skin more so then improving hyperpigmentation
My legs look similar to yours, as I have ingrown hairs and a lot of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH). I have type IV skin. Im light but have dark hair and tan easily. I tried laser hair removal but got severe hyperpigmentation from it so I am afraid of doing it again!!. I have used many things from bleaching creams to lactic acid peels. I think hydroquinone 4% was most effective for me in treating the discoloration. But I continue to get ingrown hairs with topical medications and peels. I think you should see a certified dermatologist (cosmetic) and see if peels or laser treatment would be the best option for you. I have been dealing with this for 4 years now. Good luck
