I am 50 years old with great skin and I'm very healthy. I recently had 5 consecutive treatments from a medical esthetician(in a cosmetic surgeon's office). They had the KONTUR MD Multi Polar RF device. I'm now about 6 weeks out from the first treatment and just finished the 5th. All I can say is WOW!! My skin tone and texture started to even out after the 2nd treatment and by the 4th treatment I could really see tightening in my neck and face. The little fine wrinkles that had started to show up on my cheeks when I smile...gone. And they say the results continue to get better for 3-6 months. It also started to give me a contour under my cheek bones by the 4th treatment. I have a round face so that was unexpected. The Dr. recommended a course of 6 but I could only afford 5. I really wish I was going for 6. They said I can follow-up with another 3 treatment in about 3 months. The only downside is it is so strong it can't be done on your chest or forehead because the bone is too close to the surface. They also don't go inside the peri-orbital circle of the lower eye or on the eye lid. So I'll need to find something to treat those wrinkles or the difference between that and the rest of my smooth face will become more obvious. I was researching Active FX, but this is so effective I probably wouldn't consider it except around my eyes. I am interested to hear that people are using an at home device. I can't imagine that it is anywhere close to as strong as the one the Dr. used...that would be scary! But it might be an option for maintenance. I am in Dublin so I don't know if this particular machine(by Carismed) is available in the US. But I would imagine any medical grade tripolar RF machine will be similar.
