Spin, I am so sorry to hear you are having a hard time with swelling. I, too, have the upper bulge and when I look at others on here who have posted pictures, I just cry. I have been so depressed for the past week and a half and wondering if it was all worth it. I am 9 weeks PO and still look pregnant. My stomach bulges from under my breasts to right below my belly button. It looks so weird and when I put a T shirt on you can totally see the bulge....again. I was looking so forward to wearing my T-shirts this summer, but now I don't know. I saw my PS last week and he said it's either swelling and fluid or my internal sutures are pulling apart, which means my stomach will continue to get larger and larger until I'm back to square one. I could handle just about anything else but the latter because that means I either need another surgery or look pregnant for the rest of my life. I too have quit wearing the binder as of today actually. I just couldn't stand it anymore, it was driving me nuts. How are you doing? I hope your swelling is somewhat better. Your stomach looks great from the picture and at least I can agree with A New Me that our saggy, extra skin is gone!

Oh...and I'm researching this like crazy trying to find something that says my muscles aren't pulling apart. I'm driving myself nuts!!!

I am sorry to hear you are going through the same thing. I am keeping my fingers crossed for both of us that it is only swelling and possible fluid retention. I was wondering the same thing though, why am I having so much swelling 7 weeks PO? That's when it really started getting bad for me and has continued for a week. I just hit the 8 week mark this past Tuesday, but it's weird that both of us have major swelling so late in the game. I will keep my chin up, although it's hard to do. How can I possibly go back to looking like I did when I know what's like to have a flat stomach again? Please keep me posted on how you are doing and what your PS says. Have you seen him/her yet?

I am sorry to hear you have bronchitis. I too was afraid of coughing when I caught just a little cold. I couldn't imagine how you feel with bronchitis.

I just returned from the doctor. He said it's either fluid or my muscles are pulling apart because they are too weak. If that is the case, then I have to go in for another surgery. He said they will continue to pull and my belly will end up looking exactly the same as it did beforehand. Now I seriously want to cry! He did say that if I do need another surgery he will waive his fee, but I will still have to pay for the room and the anesthesiologist. Just the thought of going through another surgery makes me so depressed. I had such a rough time with my kids getting sick for three weeks when I was 9 days PO that I don't know if I can handle doing it again. It was so hard on all of us. My husband said jokingly "I don't think I could handle another surgery" and here I am having to either possibly do it again or look the same way I did 3 months ago. I am going to hold onto the hope that it's only swelling. He did feel some fluid there as well, but it wasn't a large amount.

Sorry to be such a downer today too. :(
