this is jsgreen. i posted the original question. this is a follow-up to that question of a year and a half ago: full normal function of my top lip has still not returned on either side and does noy seem to have improved in a year. plus i had an onset of 'nerve-zap' every time i bite down on the left incisor teeth. this developed at about 6 weeks from surgery and that too has Never resolved. Bottom Line: do NOT have facial surgery for cosmetic reasons. only consider plastic surgery if you have either: been in an accident, or other reasons for surgery are so compelling that the risks are worth it. and, believe me, i found out and have heard from others... that the risks are Very much higher than plastic surgeons lead the public to believe. You Have Been Warned!

just let me add my voice to those who would urge anyone reading this to NEVER have elective plastic surgery unless you have a severe situation or one that needs improvement to aid in normal functions of life. and get your personal physician involved in the choice of surgeons. try to accept yourself the way you are and find peace in that! there is Way too much risk of mistakes and complications. so just accept yourself and deal with life from the standpoint of recognizing that it is much more important who you ARE than what you LOOK like! and go right ahead and expect anyone you meet to accept you as you appear also. if they don't, then it is They who need a change...of Heart...on the Inside! they should save negativity for what you DO and not what you look like. i and others have learned the hard way. please listen to this!

hi j, i have tried radiesse and juviderm and found the juv to last longer. its apparently diff for diff folks. now that its been almost 3 months for you, could you tell us how the restylane is holding up? is it disappearing yet?

don't worry. yes it will be a while like that but it will GO away. sometimes, like in my case, it will disappear quite quickly. its different for everyone. but keep this in mind: imagine if you had done implants and they were not right and you changed your mind! so be thankful for the blessing of Temporary fillers!
