I had to have every single one of my second set (first set for nine months, second set for six months, third set now created for seven more months) brought back for the dentist to file down since each and everyone left my mouth full of sores and bloody.
Also, these are moving my teeth, but are moving the uppers into a crooked position--they were very straight before--and not fully straightening my lowers.
Am considering--and open to hearing about--alternatives to Invisilign which has not worked for me at all and is creating more ortho problems than it was supposed to resolve.
Received nine or so months of aligners to correct my bottom teeth and one or two side/back upper teeth; front teeth were very straight. After nine months, the bottom teeth had not significantly moved and the top teeth were becoming crooked.
Went on to set two with six more months of molds. Every single set left cuts and sores in my mouth and, after four months, appeared to be making my top, formerly straight teeth, crooked where they had never been crooked. No significant change in the bottom teeth.
Third set of aligners have 5 buttons across all of my top teeth--very unsightly--and two blue buttons so that the vendor has proof I am wearing the braces--which I do, for over 20 hours daily. I am now looking at an additional seven more months on this set, including sores and cuts and the risk that my top teeth will become even worse for the wear and the bottoms will remain unchanged.
I did this all to straighten my bite because of TMD, but am considering abandoning Invisilign and seeking orthodontic alternatives.
These may work for some people, but for me, they created problems where there were none and, now, these so-called invisible braces are more distracting and unsightly than metal braces, which is affecting my business (which is client based) and my ability to socialize. For a $5,000 investment, this was the biggest waste of time and money.

This is my third long-term iteration with invisilign and all they have succeeded in doing is making my formerly straight upper teeth crooked.
For me, this was a huge mistake. I hope others have better success.
