I had my 3 weeks post appt today. This is really the best I have ever felt. Replaced all the tape and gave me bioCorneum to put on the Scar when the tapes comes off. I will still be in the binder for another 4 weeks. He suggested exercising by pulling the arms back holding a towel. Another great tip I got from another board was to wear one of those weight loss belts in the shower for support! That was like heaven. No more light-headed feeling in the shower. I still get sharp pains every now and then but aside from Motrin or Tylenol I haven't taken anything else.
It seems like my incision is a little hard today. Maybe the new all over binder is a little too light. I am going to try to go without it tonight. Other than that I drove for the first time today for a much needed mani/pedi! Felt great!
Hi Sunshine. I didn't have the cough before surgery kjust a slight sore throat. Sudafed after the surgery was the best thing. I suggest you have lots of pillows to hold on your stomach to cough. I even had to have my husband hold them heimlich style once. But like the evrthing else its a thing of the past and I am still moving forward each day :)
Good luck!
Trena, it was a week before i had my first shower. My scars are still covered in tape so I haven't applied anything to them. I would like some suggestions on what is good for scars.
Thanks Baby Blues, I was 142 and 5 6 at the time of the surgery.
I found that sleeping without the garment is best for you. Less pain in the morning.
