Good luck! I'm sure you will do great. I thought about it a long time, too, before getting the nerve to see a surgeon. The abdominoplasty was painful, but not as bad as I thought. A friend is considering doing it and I told her although it DOES hurt, I would do it again in a second. It's one of the best things I've ever done! Please let me know how you do.
Thanks so much for the positive comments. I think I can honestly say it's one of the best things I ever did. I feel SO much better about myself. I never had a weight problem until after children so getting my body back has done wonders for my confidence and self-esteem.
Good luck tomorrow, and be sure to post an update as soon as you can! I had my breast lift and then the tummy tuck 5 days later and I honestly think the tummy tuck has been an easier recovery. I didn't have to ask my husband to help hoist me out of bed (like I did for first surgery). I'm still pretty sore all over but it is bearable! Even having a friend come by to check on you, bring you lunch, etc would be REALLY helpful. But the first day should be the worst (and mine wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be), then gets easier each day so hang in there!
Well, not quite a computer. I am using my blackberry in bed. But still feeling better than expected. Not too excited about the ride home but it could be worse.
That's awesome you can have both done at once. My husband said first surgery (on 8th) took a little over 3 hours which is about how long it took today. As far as cleaning, it's overrated. Lol. Tried to clean thoroughly before first surgery, knowing I couldn't clean prior to this one! Not sure how much good it did.
Congrats, too, on your weight loss. I think it is great motivation to keep the weight off once you've invested the time and money for a TT!
Thanks for the post. Just checked out of surgical hosp and into hotel. (I live an hour away). Don't know if this info is helpful or not but recently a friend had a consult with a different surgeon who told her she could get by without implants by using her own breast tissue but she had to be willing to go from a C cup to smaller B cup.
Again, hope your surgery goes well. If you have any questions about my surgery feel free to ask. (Not that I'm an expert-lol)
