  the needle must have hit a tiny blood vessel. the skin under the eyes is the thinnest on the face and it's very delicate.

  she paid $220, so sounds like she had about 20 units. 20-24 is typical for the frown area in women. men usually have bigger muscles there, so they may need a bit more. my doctor always uses around 20 units on me in the frown area.

  at $200 sounds like you got 20 units, which is pretty standard for women in the frown area. should last about 3 months.

  at all the places i've inquired, botox is sold by the unit. you're charged for as much as they need to inject. if you need more, you come back and are charged for it.

  botox takes about a week after the injection to fully paralyize the muscles. botox in the frown lines area won't make your '11' go away if the lines are already deep set, which they appear to be from your pictures. the collagen there has been worn away, so you'll need a dermal filler too.
