That is not true Mimzz22. I had my surgery almost 2 years ago (January will be two years) and yes I do feel the sensation that I had surgery, but loved when my belly felt tight, it took some getting use to but now I feel it lose again. Not flabby but not tight. Actually wish it would have kept the tightness, as you will get use to
All I can say is that I will be 50 on Saturday and has a really big surprise party last Saturday, I walked in and was handed a tight shirt my daughter made for me to wear and thank god for a flat belly as I had leggings on when I walked in and I felt awesome with the leggings and tight shirt she made stating "It took me 50 years to look this fabulous" I would have never put that shirt on before. The trip was well worth it. I get married in June and no concerns whether or not my belly will be bulging in my mermaid dress. I was beginning to feel I would never feel normal again, but taking dance lessons with my fiance and back to exercise has all turned out to be good. I still cant do any situps and dont know if I ever will, I think Im just scared. lol
You will go up and down for a long time. I am post op 1 year now and Im finally beginning to feel normal. I can touch my belly and its not numb, just still a little. It will take alot of time, some have taken over a year
Ok, all I am almost 1 year post op! Wow, did that time go by fast. Jan 7th will be 1 year and it amazes me how I am still healing. Feel and look so much better, but Im still very aware that I had the surgery. Still moving around on the bed I feel it and I still swell up at times
I will post lots of pictures. I love my new stomach but still not quite happy with the belly button, it is still healing and I might have to get a revision or something so though the belly is flat, I still am insecure with a bikini unless I put a bandaid on it.
