I'm still pretty uncomfortable. It seems like the irritation comes and goes- one day I'll feel nearly 90% back to normal, then the next it will bother me again.
Working over the weekend wasn't so bad, so long as I could stop and sit down every now and then. Standing for too long causes swelling, so by the end of the day I was waddling, and aching. Last night it was extraordinarily sore and sensitive. Still, it hadn't even been two weeks yet, and it IS a VERY sensitive part of your body- even with the discomfort I'm very surprised that it isn't much worse.
As far as looks go, I'm still waiting for it to heal before judging. It looks a little different each day as it heals. The swelling is starting to go down, but unevenly- in other words the back area is still very swollen while the
front has gone down a lot.
My next appointment with the Doctor is next Thursday. I'll let you know how it goes!
I really want to let you know how grateful I am for you sharing this with all of us. It really helps to know sone first hand experience. I too am mom to 2 dd's, nursed em both. My dh is in the military and I am a freelance makeup artist. I am very active, love being in the water and scuba diving. After my 2nd, I lost tons of weight and ALL of my breast tissue. Before, I was known as the girl with "amazing" breasts, 32DD since middle school. Now they're stretch marked and completely deflated, no breast fat tissue at all. Getting ready for a dive over the summer I just broke down . I look horrible. I feel like ive lost a huge part of myself. It is killing my self esteem and happiness. I have seen a few ps & found one I really like in Orlando. It will cost about 9,600. We don't have the money for this, but I can't even look at myself, or be naked around my dh. Military families don't have a lot of money and our healthcare no longer supports any cosmetic surgery . We would have to take out a loan. I feel selfish doing so, but I cry ever time I look at myself. I have the chest if an 80yr old. I think your surgeon did such a beautiful job. You look amazing and have made me feel less nervous about actually doing it. I am bringing your pics and stats to the dr :)
