I guess she's one of the 'annoying' people who don't post updates. However, I suspect that's good. If things go bad people want to tell the world. If things go well, they just get on with their lives.

I tried IPL and liked it initially, but it didn't really work. Then I tried a 7% hydroquinone cream and it did the trick. There was some itching and slight peeling when I used it a lot; but I've adjusted the use and I'm very happy. All the spots are gone. It was about $70 for a bottle that is about half gone now and it's been 3 months.

IPL was expensive since I'd have to do 2 or 3 treatments and the spot that disappeared came back and one spot didn't go at all. I am blond, very fair and freckly, so I don't know how this would work on other skin. My skin seems brighter and my pores smaller. I'm very happy with this.

Now if only I could find something for under eye circles.

I had IPL and altho I initially liked it, after a while it didn't seem effective and the spots came back.

I've been using a 7% hydroquinone product (rx) and it did very well for me. I use it once a day, every other day, but at first used it twice a day. It does have some slight peeling, like dust, when I use it twice a day. I'm blond and freckly, and for the first time in my life I have no spots on my face, the age/sun spots are GONE (even the one IPL didn't get), and the other freckles are faded. Didn't help with under eye circles though.

Another update about 10 months later. The brown triangle never went away and the dime spot came back fairly soon. I tried it under the eyes for dark circles and it didn't help, the Replenix eventually made my eyes itch and peel and stopped working after about a month.

I went somewhere else and got a skin bleach at 7% hydroquinone and it did wonders. The spots are all gone including the triangle and dime spot and all the lighter miscellaneous freckles. I'm very pleased. I've been doing this about 3 months and it's cheaper (about $70 for the bottle and still have over half left) and less painful and can be done at home. Doesn't help with the under eye discoloration though.
