You know I did not think of it immediately but I think a fall actually ruptured them both after having them 19 years. I was on a farm and I was walking my german shepherd - he unexpectedly saw something that surprised him, he pulled me in such a way that I immediately went down chest first. It was a hard hit but since I had silicone - you won't know about the rupture unless a sonogram or MRI is done. I do believe that fall probably was the straw on the camels back. Silicone does not deflate. Saline deflates.

Leah - before you do anything further to your body whether it be to remove things you do not like or to make you want to look at yourself - did you think about talking to a professional - one that you feel comfortable with to get all these horrific experiences off your shoulders. It seems you were raised to hate yourself and that must be fixed. Not your fault. I would like to see you get help for your head and heart first. It can only help you emotionally and self esteem wise. Just a suggestion. Everyone deserves love and everyone is deserving and you are part of that everyone.

Leah - with all due respect. I am finding it difficult to believe this story. Maybe you should start with bringing charges up against your mother.

Worm - when I was in my 30's boobs were everything to me - well almost - NOW - I could care less. Would I get implants again if I had to do it over? Absolutely! I loved them. They served me well BUT they all wear and you never know when they will rupture. After 19 years - boobs were no longer important to me and my health was key. I chose not to get implant replacement and I am very happy. I guess priorities just changed as I got older. Today, if you choose to get them in, you can take insurance out on them so if they do rupture, the cost is not as great but you still have to pay for your surgery and an anesthesiologist. Insurance on the implants alone, I believe, can be obtained through a plastic surgeon.

Nanic - it will get better...trust me. Just time. I am so happy you got them removed. I know - its a very uncomfortable surgery removal but I am so happy. I just buy padded bras and I feel great. I don't know if you had to walk around with drains - I did and it drove me nuts but it was only a few days and then the pain eventually lifted. How are you feeling now?
