By the way, once the swelling goes you'll probably notice some lumps and bumps - don't worry, no one else will be able to see them and they do go eventually (about 9 weeks in my case). Again, ultrasound massage helps with them as well.
I got my tests done at a private clinic in UK before I left, and brought the results with me to Poland. Took a week or so to get the results back and cost me £130 ish as I recall.
2 weeks was about the worst point for swelling. By beginning of week 3 it had started to settle and beginning of week 4 almost gone. Middle of week 4 I threw my compression garment away - boy was I happy!
I brought a little home ultrasound massager (£70) and that really helped - you need to make sure you buy one that operates at the right frequency for soft tissue injury and read the instructions carefully, but I found 2X day self massaging with it (pushing the fluid towards lymph nodes with it as you go) helped with the swelling, itching and tingling.
Hang in there John, I had swelling too and especially the abdominal areas went back to the same size as pre-lipo when the swelling set in. .. But it does go down. Wear the compression garment (tight) and get some lymphatic drainage massage done and you will see most of the swelling come down by the beginning of week four. It took a couple of months for the last five or ten percent of my swelling to totally disappear, but it does go eventually.
Remember that your body has been through a trauma so of course it will bruise and swell but it will all heal
I will post some before/after photos of my chin/jawline next week. Unfortunately my laptop with my before photos was stolen a few months ago so I don't have much - but take my word for it the result really is very good. Good luck with it: one thing to note is that the Katowice airport is about 50 mins drive from the centre so best to take the airport-city bus (26 zloty) which goes direct.
