I agree. I am going to an orthodontist for my Invisalign treatment. A Premier Elite provider. I am also over 50 and I have 11 trays for the bottom and 22 for the top. So far so good, no problems. I am on trays 5.
I am over 50 and am on tray 5. No problems and my teeth are doing great. Age is not the problem, may be just health status. I am going to an orthodontist. I too believe general dentist are the problem. Lack of training.
My first pair seemed roug around the edges . My orthdontist smoothed them out. I am on my 5th tray and their is no pain or no problems. There are two levels of professionals doing Invisaligns based on training and experience. Providers are listed as Elite being the highest and Premier. My ortho was Elit. They have more experience and training. It seems thay many of the people who complain got their Invisalgns from regular dentist not trained ortodontist. That may be the problem.
