Good luck! The aniticipation of the surgery is so exciting! I'm sure you'll do great!

I originally lost about 15 lbs right off, but unfortunately my eating habits are a work in progress. I'm still down about 10lbs though. Now that I'm back at the gym regularly, I'll lose more. BUT that being said, I was a tight 16, more of a 16W before the surgery, and I'm still a 16 now but I can fit into petites (which I really should be wearing anyway) and they fit and look soooo much more better. The waist on all my pants is a little big but I need the 16's for my thighs. They're still swollen from lipo so hopefully that'll go down over the next couple months like everyone says they should. We shall see! Shirt wise, I was an XL (always trying to hide my stomach and I needed it for my boobs) but now, thanks to my breast lift and the tummy tuck I'm able to wear a large and sometimes a medium depending on the style. That alone makes such a difference and makes me look soooo much thinner even though my pants are still a 16. I still tend to gravitate toward XL's but then I try a medium just to see if it fits and I'm always surprised with it does, and without bulges on the sides! I'm still thrilled with the surgery. It's been pretty life changing!

Thanks! I also wanted to lose 50 lbs before considering a tummy tuck but got really frustrated and just went for it. I'm soooo glad I did! The only thing I complain about now is that my pants are always falling down. I need a good belt! Today I was actually able to pull them down without undoing the button and zipper. Now my thighs just need to catch up and I'll drop a size or two! You'll be so glad you went through with it. Having the surgery before losing the weight got me in the right mind frame to keep going. Good luck with your surgery!

October 19th. You commented on my review about similar bruising on our lower backs...

I have the same puckering at the incision on my hips that you have in the middle. I was concerned about it but my PS said that it would smooth out over time. It's been 2 weeks since I talked to her about it and it has smoothed outa little already. She said that the puckering is like when you have a shirt that you tuck into your pants but instead of tucking it in, you're sewing it together. Does that make sense? As the swelling goes down, I think you'll see a difference too. Looking forward to more pictures!

Sorry it took so long to respond! Internet issues... Anyway,YES, I definitely had and still have some swelling in my lower back and hips. I'm at exactly 4 weeks post-op now and can still feel a little swelling and bruising when I sit on something harder then the couch (like the seat in my car), and especially when I over do it but it's definitely been worth it!
