Hello Belle, I am sorry that you are not happy with your revision... but as "they" say, give it time. I did struggle with accepting my new nose, but I eventually had to face how my behavior was impacting my life: avoiding photos, avoiding mirrors, avoiding looking at people straight-on in conversation. It almost sounds ridiculous, but I had to find 'my good angle' and started to experiment with make-up & highlighting my other facial features that I considered as pretty accents: my eyes, my cheekbones, & my lips. It took me almost 3 years to embrace 'just me', as it is. This fall I am getting married, and before I would cringe at the thought of having a wedding photo album... but I have a new perspective, on seeing the possibilities of having an amazing life with or without a perfect nose. Having love (family, friends, partner) and most importantly, love for self is magical & inspiring. To be honest, I don't think I am brave enough to have a nose revision. For now, I think my 3/4, right-side view, w/ chin-down... will just have to do :) Be patient, at 5 months post surgery your nose is still swollen. As time passes, you may find a new acceptance. As for your your current 'unnatural look', be proud... it sounds very hollywood! That's a good thing. Keep me posted on your recovery.

    Hi Slim!

I did not get my revision.. YET! I met a doctor in Beverly Hills that said he would have to take 'ear cartilage' to add to my nose-tip to make it look long. He gave me a $20K estimate.

Then I met these docs in Hollywood "Profiles". They have a good reputation. They were very nice, & did a 'before/after' photoshop reference. They did not think I needed to add to my nose-tip, but suggested I slim nose shape & even out nostrils. Estimate $15k.

My lil 22 sis found out she was pregnant & I wonder what financial stress she will embark giving LIFE. And I feel so selfish & pathetic to be whining about "my nose", when she could probably use the extra cash.

SO, given I was recently laid-off a week ago... I think Im going to hold out-- even though getting a revision has been my obsession the past 2 years. I just feel like my sister & (young) family may need the money more than I need a skinny nose ;)

I love this comment. haha. Well, I finally got a consultation with a beverly hills doctor to change back my nose to that 'maxim' look. Doc is going to have to take ear cartilage to make it longer, than create a raised burrito on bridge to make it look skinny again. Costing $14k (special cash price). It makes my stomach turn. That is a lot of money. Well, to be honest i do NOT get the same male/female attention as i did with God-given face. I'm 33 & looking for a husband... the "chic" look doesn't work at my age-- especially in LA. I will make call mid-january, after they announce job layoffs.
