I LOVE the Palmer's oil. I have become addicted to it. It does smell like chocolate. Not only do I use it on my incision now, I rub it all over my body after I shower, and my skin feels really soft and silky.
I am 6 weeks out from my surgery, and my navel itself is still kind of bloody and scabby inside. Funny, with the Palmer's Oil, my scar is starting to flatten out nicely, but my navel itself seems really slow to heal. What has everyone else experienced??
Hi Kimmers - I haven't been in touch in a while. Just wanted to let you know that I am now 5 weeks and 2 days post op. The swelling has really gone down, and the flatness of my tummy is really amazing. I went shopping for new pants yesterday - which was really a pleasure for the first time in forever. I also found that between what was surgically removed, and the fact that during the first four weeks after surgery, I didn't have much energy or appetite, I am down about twelve pounds overall. Now I am motivated to loose another 10!! I wanted to ask you when your navel started looking normal again. Mine is still kind of red and shiny inside. Also, did you stop wearing your girdle at six weeks, or did you wear it longer than that?
