    Carnie,

I rarely chime in on  RealSelf posts, however being that I work here - I read reviews all day long and just wanted to say, thank you. Your honesty, transparency, and detailed documentation of this journey is so appreciated. You reassure people that regardless of who you are, your age, in or out of the spotlight - we're not alone.

I've been an athlete all my life which I think saved me as a child...but trust me - when the final season ended in college and I wasn't forced to work out , I had the same eating habits... and well... you get the idea.

I've tried every diet under the sun, and have gotten a good portion of weight off in the last year, but to your point - it's a daily struggle and choice to keep going.

In closing I wanted to thank you again. It's people like YOU that make RealSelf what it is....an online community that truly empowers people in their own personal journey...

That being said - I'm off to eat an apple:)

There are so many variations out there now. You can take drops, shots, and even a mouth spray. I would recommend talking to your doctor as the place where I bought my drops no longer sells them. The diet is based off the book "Pounds and inches" Check it out and talk to your doctor. But in short - it's based on a very low calorie diet. Very strict combination of foods, and adding in a hormone HCG that women produce when pregnant that attacks the mobile fat in your body. It attacks stomach fat mainly. Sounds strange...but check out "Pounds and inches".

Good luck to you in your journey!

I will say... I just got done with the 1st round of the HCG diet. It's a MIRACLE!!!

I lost 33lbs in 35 days. Unfortunately as of last week, the FDA just cracked down and stopped production of ALL HCG drops and injections. (Thankfully I have some left over oral drops to do another round or two to get 30-40 more pounds off.)

I will add...it's a miracle IF you stick to the very strict diet. There are 4 phases - each very different. The bulk of the diet is built around a 500 calorie diet...yes - only 500 calories per day. Sounds crazy...and it was...but I lost an average of 1lb per day. I think I lost almost 15lbs in the first week alone. Let me know if you want more info - happy to share more details.

I second Sharon and hope your recovery has gone well!

Do you have any UPDATED photos?  Did you need a revision, or did it heal properly?

I look forward to hearing from you!
