I understand exactly how you feel, only if our fat goes to the places where they're "suppose" to be lol. Currently, my biggest problem area is my upper abdomen where the fat had gathered. As for all procedures, please do consider all the pros and cons first. In my opinion additional procedures is unnecessary— unless the fat transfer could provide you a dramatic result that can truly satisfy you for the next decade. However, for me, I would not go through any cosmetic surgery ever again regardless to how I look in the future. Having a muffin top may not be pleasing but as long as I’m healthy and active, there’s nothing else I would take from or add to my body. After all you’re most beautiful when you’re happiest. I wish you the best Julia, go after the things that will make you happy and avoid the things that won’t.
Hi waterlipo, by now you probably have most of your questions answered. But i think the water lipo you mentioned is the same wet liposuction i had. It is less harsh on our bodies compare to traditional liposuction. However, you should still consider long and hard before proceeding, regardless of the technique. Be very very certain of what you want. Consider all the factors and ask yourself if surgery is really necessary. Best wishes, and i hope you have made a well informed decision.
Thank you chilo! I'm very happy to hear that you made a confident decision. It's important that we are proud of the choices we make at the end of the day. I kept it as a secret from my mom because I wasn’t proud of my decision at all; it was a very unnecessary procedure for me. I wish you the best, and keep believing in your gut... it's the right way to go!
Sorry for the late reply. I was suprised too when fat started to distribute unevenly over my body after liposuction. My cousin explained it to me in a very scientific manner that made a lot of sense. I'm not a science person, but i will try my best to summarize what she told me. Liposuction removes stubborn fat cells that are most difficult to rid of. If you gain weight after the surgery, that weight will not goto the areas you had done. Instead it will first distribute to areas that still contain the fat cells. As you could see in my pics, most of my new fat went to my upper abdomen, upper and lower back, and other areas that i didn't lipo. As a result, my upper abdomen hangs over my lower abdomen-- creating a muffintop effect that I didn't have before. I'm sticking to exercise from now on. Hope this helps.
It did change me spiritually and physically. I quit drinking (a bad habit i developed at college), and i'm certain i will never opt for plastic surgery again. Before i don't bloat, not even on my period. Now i get bloated/puffy every other week and its been 1 year after lipo.
