i sincerely wonder if your fiancee is considering looking his best for you. just an interesting question. if he is, then maybe you should get a laser peel together, or fraxel if you have the money, as it takes three to five treatments i've heard. if he doesn't care what he looks like, YOU should care. if you don't care how attractive HE is and only how attractive YOU are, then maybe a psychologist who helps in sexual arousal might be able to help you. after all, for a relationship to work (especially a relationship with as much pressure as one half of the couple serving in the army!), BOTH halves of the couple must find the other equally arousing and awe-inspiringly beautiful--as well as have other characteristics that engage the other partner. Good luck.

I am very sorry for the b.s. all of you have gone through. you should all consider a lawsuit. Yet at the same time, I invite you to not only look at yourself in the mirror, but also look at the men you are with. Most likely, you are way more beautiful than them. Do you find them beautiful? Don't you think they need some correction? While you are anguishing over one wrinkle, they give no thoughts at all to their bald heads, their jowly faces, their hairy backs, their wrinkly skin, their big noses, fat bellies and butts. I am far from a "feminist"...I am very pro plastic surgery and think everyone should look beautiful if they want. But this includes men, too. They should be writing on this forum as well...I wonder why they are not?

argh. doesn't sound too good. and i was told that fraxel DIDN'T HAVE any downtime, and would be the trick for fine lines. my partner and i want to get it together; we are 35 yet don't like what is going on in the under eye area. the doctor sounds ice cold. i would think for the money we pay for plastic surgery treatments (ie not from health insurance), the doctors should treat us like the CUSTOMERS we are and act friendly and kind. I am angry enough towards ice cold doctors in medical situations where insurance pays, but for when we pay out of pocket for a cosmetic procedure, it puts me over the edge even more when a doctor is cold and callous. It would be comparable to going to a luxury hotel and being treated by the employees in an arrogant manner. I don't know why these "M.D."'s think that their medical degree gives them the right to act cold and insensitive. I too have requested a nurse to do my procedures because the cold and snotty vibe of the doctor has put me off so much. There has been no difference between results of skin treatments with the icy doctor or the friendly nurse...except that I feel better during the appointment, feel like my concerns and pain are being addressed, and feel like I am being treated like a human being, not like a piece of CRAP.
