Thanks so much for the updated info. My surgery is set for Wednesday. I have little breast tissue but they will go under the muscle again. I don't want to be bigger than I am now but I need to have my current ones out because 1 has bad contraction. Knowing your experience is a big help!

How do you like the saline implants? I have 20 year old silicone ones now & am looking to replace them due to contraction on 1. I am leaning towards saline mainly for cost which at this time is unfortunately an issue. Anything you can share about the salines would be a big help.

Yes, you can get contraction after the implants are in. Do some research. My silicone ones are 20 years old & I have a Baker's 3 contraction of the right breast. It happened gradually years after my surgery & kept getting firmer. My breast doctor ( not plastic surgeon) said it could get worse! So now I am looking at a surgery to remove the scar tissue that made it contract & replacing the implants. Mine is very noticeable. The left side is probably a 36 B full & the right is huge (38 C or D maybe?) compared to that & feels like a softball. Definitely check it out. My surgeon gave me a free consultation & it was worth it to know my options.

I would definitely get another opinion. My silicone implants are 20 years old. I have what they call a Baker's 3 (on a scale of 1-4) contraction on my right breast. It was fine for many years but has gradually gotten worse over the years. I went to a breast doctor last week(not plastic surgeon) & she said it could get worse! I did all the massaging as my doctor said after surgery for several years. The left breast is great. My only options now are removing the implants while doing a capsulectomy or capsulotemy on the right breast. If my insurance covered it I would definitely redo them now. Chances are it will get worse & then you're on your own to pay to replace them. Good luck! Implants can be wonderful so do get them fixed.

I wondered if you would mind sharing how you like the saline implants. I currently have 20 year old silicone ones that need replacing. I am strongly considering the saline ones but have been told they will feel "firmer" & may ripple under the skin. I would really appreciate any info you could share with me. I am looking at the high profile Naturelle implants made by Allergan.
