  • Posted to Why Do Some Women Have Horriffic Bodies After Child Bearing? My Kids Were Born 10.5 Months Apart & I Ate What I Wanted? on 25 Sep 2012

I may have taken it negatively, glad to get clarification that it was not intended. I have a previous post showing my scar,it is unsightly and inverted due to improper closure by Dr. I also lost breast tissue mass because I breast fed both my girls consecutively. My main reason for posting the genetics question/observation was to bring to light the fact that even our best efforts during pregnancies as it pertains to diet, can still go awry,if our genetics predispose us to the issues that lead women to chose cosmetic surgery,ie...my breast augmentation..one of the BEST decesions I ever made. I appreciate your gentle nature, gathered by your sincere comment.

I can appreciate what you are wondering. I am contemplating surgery for an inverted csection scar. Friends have commented I look fine, compared to their post baby bodies. It is appropriate to point out that since giving birth I am a marathon runner, currently training for a 10k, so I am well aware of benefits of exercise & healthy eating. That said I felt it neccessary to point out that my genetics are possibly responsible for the taut skin I sustained after 2 pregnancies so close together. I know women who blame their poor diets,or scratching for their stretch marks post pregnancy & compare themselves to me unfairly, ie genetics influence as much if not more than diet. If its not obvious from my pics that I bodybuild, wich includes a strict diet...then I will say "I eat healthy,I exercise,I also happen to have good genetics" DRs. when i was pregnant I ate fast food (please relax) I am human,it tasted good at the time. My cuban mother cooks high fat foods, sue us!! and ladies plz dnt persecute me for revealing "the tummy that had no surgery"...will my FAKE boobies proVe my surgery support& make yall happy?? GET OVER IT Oh & I am 33 :p

I appreciate your feedback Dr. I am aware of the negative effects poor diet can have on overall health. Since becoming a mother I have made a concious effort to eat healthier, and I exercise 4-5 x's a wk. I am thankful for genetics but realize that healthy diet is key to maintenence
  • Posted to Tri-Luma for Melasma treatment and skin lightening on 31 Jul 2010

In regards to other products that work better for melasma, I personally have not found any. I think you should keep using it(Tri Luma) like consistently no missed days every night before bed. I had really dark skin on my face and after using TriLuma relegiously every night for over 2 1/2 months, my results are outstanding!! sometimes people dont even recognize me, my skin glows and is noticeably lighter!! I'm not kidding. I tried the meladerm its a thumbs down to me because my skin turned back darker, so I am sticking with tri-luma, I am for real!!

If you are using this product you should be happy! Im telling you what I know. My skin has never been this light, pretty, and soft. It peels but thats what its suppose to do, I use a lifht exfoliater pad once a week, gorgeous glowy skin...product worth every penny. My health insurance pays a signifigant amount though. Dont be discouraged about the so called "dangers" because the final result to me is worth the tiny percentage of harm.Might sound careless but if you could only see before and after pictures of me!I get compliments and I know it works.
