I am 3 weeks post tummy tuck and medial thigh lift. When I lay down for more than 5 minutes (or sleep), my body becomes incredibly stiff--almost like a cast. I feel better when I walk around. I asked my surgeon and he doesn't seem to know what the problem is. I am already getting a professional lymphatic massage every other day. Is this normal? Should I be concerned?
I have fluid on my back and stiffness. I have been getting massages 2-3 times per week but I do not feel the fluids are decreasing. Am I supposed to be urinating the fluids out? I am stiff and swollen in my arms, back and tummy. I do not know what exactly I need to do bc this is painful.
I had a tummy tuck with lipo flanks 16 days ago. I know that swelling is normal but my lower abdomen if really stiff all the way down and I look bloated. I've kept my garment on all the time as directed by my doctor. My tummy is super hard and as the days pass it doesn't seem to go down. Do I have to wait for the swelling to go down or is this it? Will I eventually have a flat stomach? I feel I look the same as I did before but stiff with a bonus scar.
Had a tummy tuck 10 days ago. I decided to go to the store and over did it on the walking. I could feel a lot of pulling on my stomach and my back was killing me. Had burning sensation throughout my stomach. The next day my stomach wasn't sore and stiff and I don't feel as tight like it was before. I don't see any physical changes. Could I have pulled my muscle repair loose or tore my internal stitches?
Hello. I had a full tummy tuck with muscles repair and lipo to my posterior hips. I'm healing nicely and the doctor took it one of the drains on Tuesday 9/22. I'm really in no pain anywhere.. Except my hips. They feel very sore and tight. Is this normal? It's not where the lipo was. It feels more like a muscular issue than anything? I appreciate your help.
My heath issues with MS as the typical legs, can get stiff and weak but i still live, work, drive and walk without assistance on the majority of days, and the typical fatigue, i sleep well and think that apart from the obvious stress leading up to the surgery (planning to have next Jan) I should be ok. My husband fully supports me and will be around to help as much as I need. I plan on 4 wks off work and lots of rest to ensure a good recovery. So would you recommend surgery with my MS?
