I've noticed a difference in the way some board certified plastic surgeons close their incisions. Some are shorter (not hip to hip) and have a puckered (horrifying) look initially but seem to flatten out or time. Others have very aesthetically thin, smooth, perfect incision. The physicians who do the puckered type incisions are very experienced so why make your patient deal with the temporary disfigurement??
I am 6 days PO from TT and have been following my PS advice. The steri-strips just came off incision today and I have been wearing my binder 23hrs/day. I am concerned of this puckering and wrinkling at the end of my incision. It seems quite extreme. I also had lipo to flanks. Will this flatten? Is this something I should concern my PS with this early on? My follow up is on 11/30/18 and my PS is 3 hrs away. The rest of my incision looks great and is very flat.
5w PO TT w/ MR, no lipo. All healed except for small, dry scab (less than 1/2) in lower/center incision. Approved to resume normal activity but struggling to stand straight. Very tight at the top of plication under breast bone. Skin puckers there when I try to straighten up. No discomfort anywhere else, just very tight/uncomfortable at the top. I sit w perfect posture but when I stand up, my shoulders hunch fwd. I'm so close! What can I do to get that top to stretch & let me stand up straight?
I am 23 days post op tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo. I am healing pretty well but I've noticed on part of my incision it looks almost puckered up. What is the likelihood that will fade and fix itself? Will this require revision?
My stretch marks look bigger and very awuful. Will they get better or they will look like this even after I healed? I had a full abdominoplasty. I also added some photoes of my incision and belly button. My sexond question is that my skin around my incision line is gathered. It is not flat. Will it be resolved?
I am six weeks postop and the pleats are still bad. I'm very unhappy with my results. My scar has now started to pucker outwards and he told me to massage it. When I do I can feel the stitches just below my skin poking almost through and it irritates me. What else can I try?Should I give it more time for the puckering to go down?is there still a possibility that they may go away completely?my Sideview pictures do not seem flat at all and I can still grab a nice they're fat while standing up.
I am 8 days PO and I had a mini tummy tuck. First off, I'm really concerned with how the skin is puckered above my belly button. My PS said to massage the area and it would loosen up, but I haven't seen any change in doing so. I couldn't find any instance of this happening to anyone else thus far. Will it really go away? Also, my real BB seems way too low now. My PS did say it would float down, but it seems so low. Is this normal?
