Hello so I have an issue wheee I always look like I have a pop belly and I always have a spare tyre , Ive had laser lipo but it didnt work . I have had 4 kids my question is do I need lipo or a tummy tuck I do have pelvic floor issues also not sure if abdominal platt helps this too ?
I was diagnosed about 5 years ago. It doesnt bother me much. Ive seen a couple of Dr. and they dont feel it's worth doing any type of surgery on. How will this condition affect my tummy tuck surgery ? Im not on medication or any type of treatment for it.
In September i had to have an emergency surgery to patch up my colon. The surgery in my opinion destroyed my stomach. Due to the vertical incision, the scar is slightly depressed and causes my stomach to look like a butt. My lower abdomen on both sides are very poofy and pouch like that are slightly tender. I was told it was my fat and muscles. I also had a pelvic fracture and noticed that my v cut is way different on both sides. I do wear an abdominal binder and started doing an workouts.
My obgyn and physical therapist said it would be okay that I have a tummy tuck despite some of my mild pelvic floor prolapse issues. During a consult I asked the surgeon to not pull the muscles too super tight as to not add any unecessary pressure. He told me that he will pull them very tight but that I shouldn't worry about it affecting my pelvic floor. Does this sound right or should I keep consulting?
Basically I am wanting to know if the tummy tuck scar can be placed the pelvic area for a more seamless appearance, as in placing the scar where the thigh meets the pelvis instead of along the stomach. Thank you for taking the time to respond.
