I had a Mommy Makeover last December. There seems to be hardened fat or scar tissue under the skin where my tummy tuck scar is. It hasn't gone away. In fact, sometimes when I position my stomach in a certain way it seems to stick out. This is very concerning to me. Will this go away as I loose more weight?
I just had a tummy tuck done April27th and I have this fat roll the doctor says it is swelling and i understand that my other question or thing that is bothering me is where as a few days ago when i touched it and it was soft and now it feels like it is hard is that normal?
I had surgery 4/20 in the DR and developed a hematoma approximately 2 months post-op. I F/u with PCP who stated watch it. 2 wks after appt. the area was red, swollen, and had an abscess. I went to ER was admitted; I had I & D and IV Vanco. Dcd on Doxycycline BID x 2wks and Bactrim BID x 7 days. I f/u with PS who gave me a script for drainage under guided US that I had on 7/9 with approximately 8ml of fluid removed and I still have fluid, discoloration, and hardness remaining.
Hi, I just wanted to ask if there should be tissue or muscle that is extremely hardened under the skin of the abdomen, after a 3 year old tummy tuck. Maybe this is scar tissue build up? Can I do anything to soften the feel of it? The hardened area is mostly above my belly button and outward about 4 inches on each side of my belly button. Please advise with any suggestions or remedies.
I had a Tummytuck done on 8/26. Post op complication of fluid, seroma, and infection. PS explored the incision site and drained fluid. Since then I've been probing and packing it. Multiple other sites have dehisced from degranulation. Now I have a large hardened area an inch above the umbilicus to an inch above incision. PS feels it's all fibrosis and applying US treatment. My concern is now about permanent changes and possible fat necrosis. Thank You
I am 6 weeks post op and there are areas under my scar, particularly in the center under belly button, that have hardened quite a bit. If I press down or touch that area, it feels like a hard length of rope under the scar. Is that normal? Should I do anything - massage or anything else to make it better? My whole stomach below my belly button is also still numb feeling 6 weeks post op. Is that normal?
i hade full tummy tuck 2 weeks ago, i feel good already but im not to happy my belly button is to small,my left side already feel very normal but my full right side is swallow and very harde to the touch,my doctor said that he did lipo on both side and some time one side more sensitive that the other but and also this side he took the drainge on 7 days but the good side stayed for 2 weeks, and also he told me if it was any fluid on that side it will shift to the other side ,im so afraid
Hi, I notice that after my drains were removed my stomach started growing a little in size and is now rock hard. The more I move around the harder it gets. I went to my doctor and he said that he don't feel fluid but my stomach shouldnt be hard. So he said it may be infection but he's not sure, so he put me on bacterim for 5 days. Also with the selling I had pain on the right side of my stomach but that pasty started a week after the hardness. Now I'm regretting my tt.
The right side of my incision took 4 months to close up, I had multiple eruptions from spitting sutures. I was symptom free for 3 months then this month a large lump formed just below the incision (pubis area) I had an ultrasound to r/o hernia, it was an abscess so my surgeon opened it up, got a few suture fragments out and let it drain, it is now healed but I still feel a hardness there and the hardness seems to be spreading. Is this new scar tissue or more fluid building up?
